ich möchte keinesfalls nerven, aber gibt es inzwischen schon einen voraussichtlichen Termin für die 1.5-Variante?

I tried to manage ticker via frontend with a publisher user, but it opens a white page without allow me to do nothing.
I checked also th user-rights configuration and it's ok for publisher user!
I hope someone could help me, thank you smilies/smiley.gif

Hello sometime the errors occurrs to me too, but not with live ticker components.
Try to download the zip package and install it again, are you sure to install it as a component?

Just discovered the Live ticker from other website. I am really looking forward to new version running under Joomla 1.5. Any idea when the new Live ticker will be released? The month would be enough for me. Thank you

Can't install liveticker

I can't install the liveticker, somebody please help.

when I upload the component I get this message:

ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.

Installation file not found:
/home/bloemersjr/domains/dj-luigi.nl/public_html/ivo/joomla1/media/install_49ecc5095e8d1/

and when I try to install it trough the component install directory I get this:

Another component is already using directory: "/home/bloemersjr/domains/dj-luigi.nl/public_html/ivo/joomla1/components/com_liveticker/"

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!

(yes I have Joomla 1.0)

sure, all that is mentioned in the bugtracker. If you know another feature which would be nice to have in the component you're free to add it to the bugtracker.

Hi everyone!!!!
I'm here again....
I'd like to realize something like that : http://it.eurosport.yahoo.com/...45414.html (look at the "commento in diretta" area).

At the beginning of each line there's a number which signs the exact minute of the match and there's also a small image such as yellow card, red card, whistle or a soccer ball.

How is possible to modify live ticker to do that?

it just tries to download the logo of paypal to display. so you can remove the code from the component or cancel the loading of the page (not tested).

beside of the input field there is a little image with a question mark. hove with your mouse to see how to input the date.

Hi everyone;
I need to try to see how this component works in order to realize if it's what I really need.
I tried in it localhost, but when I try to manage, via backend,it starts an attempt to connect to paypal.
If I try to insert a new ticker, it always gives me trouble width date.

How can I solve this trouble?

Hallo,

auch ich möchte nochmals nachfragen, wann der neue Ticker denn nun kommt? Habt Ihr schon ein Zeitfenster?

Ich nutze Joomla 1.5 und kann den alten Ticker, wie viele andere auch, nicht nutzen!
Es wäre nett, wenn Ihr mal einen ungefären Zeitplan angeben könntet, denn noch eine Saison kann ich nicht warten, dann muß ich mir was anderes überlegen!

As well, Liveticker is a unique component. we use so much on motorsport event, but always crash site. It falls cause reload pages overall it....always
We hope an ajax reload deseperatly...

das liegt daran, dass die Komponente nur für Joomla! 1.0.x ist. Wie auf der Projekt-Seite sowie auch bei extension.joomla.org vermerkt.
Eine Version für J! 1.5.x ist geplannt, ich komme aber derzeit zu sehr wenig... deshalb wird sich der Release verschieben...

Do you mean the LiveTicker component? In this case, the answer is no. The component is not native for Joomla 1.5.x, not even in legacy mode.
A future J!1.5.x version is planned... but i can\'t tell you when...

Is this components work for Joomla 1.5.7? If yes, could you put the installation step by step? Because I'm trying to install here, but Joomla answer that the archives have unknown type.
